A place connected by understanding
Curuna is a community where people from overseas can discuss, in their own words, the worries and questions they experience while living in Japan. It is a bulletin board service where everyone can support one another and share advice. There are things only people with a similar background can understand, and advice that can only come from lived experience. Please support your peers with your experience and information.

We will continue organizing information that foreign residents truly need, such as visa status, work, housing, and administrative procedures, so it is easier to find.
Sharing Japanese culture
We want to share not only systems and procedures, but also Japanese ways of thinking, manners, and local culture.
About the Administrator
I’m Sam from Japan, administrator of Curuna.
Living abroad, it can be difficult to find a place where you can casually ask for advice, and searching for practical, firsthand information can become exhausting. Believing that a service to solve those challenges was needed, I founded Curuna.
“Curuna” combines “Culture” and “Luna” (moon). I want culture to light up the world like the moon. Together with people living in this country, I want to brighten those who are struggling. That is why I chose the name. It may be a small place, but I hope trusted connections grow from here.
